Michael Jordan’s father, Michael Jordan, and his mother, Debbie Jordan, have been banned for 10 months from leaving the country for three years after being found guilty of child abuse.
Jordan, the NBA champion and three-time MVP, was found guilty in April 2016 of sexually abusing the son of his former basketball coach, Steve Kerr.
His conviction came a year after his death.
Jordan’s lawyer has said his son was being abused when he was a toddler, but the jury in the case was unable to reach a verdict.
He was also found guilty by the same court of sexual assault and child neglect.
Jordan and his wife, Jill, are among three of Jordan’s five children who have left Jordan’s hometown of Chicago for their own private lives.
Jordan has not been charged with any crimes in either case.
The other two are his daughters, Katelyn and Kelli.
