The family of Elton John, who were in a car crash near their home in New York last month, have been accused of being involved in a drug ring.
The family of Yara Shahidi, the father of Yaya John, the American singer and songwriter, were in New Jersey last month when their car was involved in the crash.
Elton John was killed and Yara and Yaya’s brother, James, were injured in the incident.
Yara’s mother, Yara’s sister, Yaya, and her two sisters, Yura and Kaya, were arrested and charged with conspiracy and conspiracy to commit murder in the case, police said in a statement on Monday.
Police said that Yara was in New Brunswick, New Jersey, at the time of the accident, but she did not have a valid driver’s license.
Yaya and Yera’s mother were arrested in January 2016 and charged in December with conspiracy to engage in organized criminal activity, according to the New York Post.YARA’S FAMILY IS IN THE U.S.
Elon John’s father, who was not identified, has lived in New Orleans, Louisiana, for the past two decades, according a statement by the Elton J. and Raquel John Foundation.
Yera’s sister-in-law, Kaya Shihani, was arrested in December 2015 on charges of possession of cocaine, marijuana and heroin.

Yura’s brother-in the family, James John, was found dead on a highway on March 11, 2018, in New Mexico, where he was living with his mother.
Yury Chaim Chaim, the former CEO of the Chaim family of companies, was also found dead in Mexico on May 8, 2018.
Eloni Chaim’s mother was charged with kidnapping and attempted murder in February, according CNN.
James John was arrested on February 20, 2018 in Virginia on charges that he attempted to kill an acquaintance in a Las Vegas hotel room.
The case of Yura, who died in New Hampshire, has led to calls for the prosecution of Eloni and his family.
The Eloni family, who own the American Airlines Arena and the American Music Hall of Fame, have not responded to multiple requests for comment.
